One Deep Breath: Common Ground

28 May

Ruthie up the stairs

Your first steps away from me
are sure, strong, and true.
I shall not fear the future.
Storms may loom ahead.
We’ll find our way through tough years
and meet back on common ground.

This is SO good. The lines “We’ll find our way through tough years/ and meet back on common ground” are beautiful and really touched my heart. And the photo is really sweet.

These kinds of prophecies have a way of becoming self-fulfilling.
