Ruby Tuesday — Look out for me!

28 May

Look out for me!

“Look out for me.  Don’t you try to take my toys!  I mean it! “

Those are some scary eyes, there, Ruby.  Don’t worry, we’ll take you seriously now!

Ruby getting those wily toys

Froggy and Monkey must be controlled — they are wily and try to get away!  Don’t worry — Ruby is up for the job!

Gage and Ruby playing with froggie

She loves it when we play with her.  Throw a toy down the hall and she’s a happy girl!

Playing on the hill with the kids

On Saturday, we went to my in-laws to do some work.  The kids decided that a sand fort was in order.  Ruby kept them company up there but eventually left when the other cousins arrived.  (Fascinating point . . . Ruthie had a scorpion on her foot up there — delightful.)

Greg and Jerryne working on the pool

We were there to work on the pool.   TSP, Acid wash, TSP.  Delightful. Next week, we get to sand it all down!  And then, we’ll finally paint with some special fancy pool paint.  Still, being able to use the pool this summer is totally worth it!

Gramma serving food to Dad

Jerryne’s appetizers make it worth it too.  Ruby thinks so.  She got so many treats from “Gramma” in the kitchen that she ws leaping up to beg for food on the deck.  That didn’t fly with me, I’ll tell ya!

When she’s near the kids, I can tell how very small she is. What a perky little girl! Hey, that pool looks refreshing without the water in it.

I love your Ruby photos Lizalee, even the one with her eyes lit up! Wow the pool does look like a lot of work, but it will be so worth it.

    Love the new look here!

    Ruby of the glowing eyes!
Our pool works seems simple in comparison to yours. We have a plastic liner for our in ground pool so the water stays in all year.

Ruby is a tiny thing. Remember I had Labradors before. Ruby weighs about 12 lbs.

The pool was only emptied because it has to be painted again. It was painted last year with supposed pool paint but all the paint peeled off. Yuck. So we’re doing it RIGHT this time. It’s been fun though — a satisfying project and we all know that we’ll benefit. It’s our guaranteed 100% satisfaction kid entertainment for the summer.

I always love your Ruby Tuesdays and also like your new look to your blog! I have been thinking about making a change myself! Wow, lots of work with that pool!
