Fall is peeking around the corner

8 Sep

Summer hangs on
Tenacious, sticky, lingering
Draining, irritating, aggravating

Bring on Fall
Creep in, cool air
Relaxing, refreshing, relieving

You are not my friend, Summer Heat
I prefer a temperate day
with an edge of chill in the air

Bring it on, Fall
We’re waiting with bated breath
We welcome you.

I hope fall gets there before we do. It was pretty hot and sticky when we were in Santa Cruz last week. Yes, we are moving there and staying put. Looking for land somewhere in the hills.

Very nice poem. Look at that tree. We have several nearby with leaves already turning because it’s been so dry. Hanna brought us about 3″ of rain, thank goodness. Wish it had been more.

Love this poem Liza! YES! Bring it on! I promise not to whine about cool weather (OK, well, at least not until April!) :c)

It’s coming…if not already there. 🙂 We’ve had chilly rainy weather and it’s blowing east-but today is that perfect early autumn sweater weather day. Lovely poem!

Fall, fall, I love the fall. Yippy! I bet you are ready for some coolness. Does your classroom run better then?

It’s already fall here, sadly. We’re headed south, for one last bit of summer. I can hardly wait!
