Saw this tree at Wilder Ranch. Have no idea what this fruit is. Clues?

My first impulse is that it could be a cherimoya, but they’re usually green when ripe. Very interesting!
Any chance it could be custard apple?
Could it be a lychee? Roger says it looks very similar to fruit he saw growing in Hawaii.

Yay! Hurray! I’m on my way to see a Fish Crow at Susan’s site. I suggest you all do the same! I’ll try to call Wilder Ranch and ask them what the name of the fruit is.
