    Isn’t it a pleasure to see birds returning every year and knowing their lineage. We have generations of dove return every spring and through the summer.

    I hope this doesn’t get sent twice — I had trouble sending it the first time. Anyway, I love the sense of continuity created in your haiku of watching a bird from the time it was a fledgling come to eat at your feeder — like watching someone’s child grow up. Really nice!
